Aaron Pico will make his long awaited Octagon debut at UFC 319. | PFL MMA
Aaron Pico (13-4) vows to make it a rough night for Lerone Murphy (16-0) at UFC 319.
Pico and Murphy will meet in the co-main event at UFC 319 on Saturday at the United Center in Chicago. The matchup is widely considered a featherweight title eliminator. Pico claims Murphy is yet to face any opponents of his caliber. The former Bellator MMA talent believes he can dig deeper than others when the going gets tough. Pico promises to take the fight to Murphy and believes the Englishman will never want to fight him again after UFC 319.

Pico: I’m Different Than Anyone Murphy Has Ever Faced
“I’m a different fighter than anybody he has ever faced in his career,” Pico said on the UFC Countdown show. “I’m dangerous everywhere. I can wrestle, I can strike, I love to knock people out. I’m willing to go as far and deep as I have to go mentally and make it as brutal as I can to win a fight. I don’t think a lot of people are willing to go there. I want to make this a rough night for [Lerone]. I want him to step out of the Octagon and say, ‘I never want to fight Aaron Pico ever again.'”
Pico is riding a three-fight winning streak and coming off back-to-back first-round knockouts. He was originally scheduled to make his UFC debut against Movsar Evloev last month before the Russian pulled out due to an injury. Meanwhile, the undefeated Murphy is coming off wins over Edson Barboza, Dan Ige and Josh Emmett in his last three outings.
