A women’s bantamweight clash between Alexis
Davis and Julija
Stoliarenko has been added to the lineup for UFC Fight Night on
Feb. 5.
Promotion officials announced the pairing Wednesday. UFC Fight
Night takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and is headlined by
a middleweight showdown between Sean
Strickland and Jack
Hermansson.
A former title challenger, Davis is 1-4 in her last five Octagon
appearances. In 2021, the 37-year-old Canadian took a unanimous
decision over Sabina Mazo
at UFC Fight Nigh 186 before dropping a three-round verdict against
Pannie
Kianzad at UFC 263.
After winning the Invicta bantamweight title with a victory over
Lisa
Verzosa in March 2020, Stoliarenko has fallen to Yana
Kunitskaya and Julia Avila
in her first two UFC outings. The 28-year-old Lithuania native is
9-5-2 as a pro, with eight victories coming via submission.
