A featherweight matchup has been added to the Bellator 244
preliminary lineup, as Weber
Almeida will lock horns with Salim
Mukhidinov on Aug. 21.
The promotion confirmed the pairing following a report from
MMAFighting.com. Bellator 244 takes place at Mohegan Sun Arena
in Uncasville, Connecticut and is headlined by a light heavyweight
title tilt between Ryan Bader
and Vadim
Nemkov.
A training partner of Lyoto
Machida, Almeida is undefeated in three professional outings.
The 32-year-old Brazilian kicked off his Bellator tenure with
back-to-back KO/TKO victories over Odan Ruiz and Castle
Williams in 2019.
The 26-year-old Mukhidinov is coming off a split-decision loss
against Cris
Lencioni at Bellator 239 on Feb. 21. The AKA Thailand
representative is 1-1 within the California-based promotion and 7-4
as a professional overall.
