Bellator already has its next trip to England set.
During Saturday’s Bellator Newcastle broadcast, the promotion announced a May 4 event in Birmingham that will be headlined by former lightweight champion Brent Primus fighting Englishman Tim Wilde.
Primus (8-1) suffered the first loss of his pro career at Bellator 212 this past December, losing a five-round unanimous decision in a rematch against Michael Chandler. In their first meeting, Primus captured the Bellator lightweight title via TKO after Primus suffered a leg injury.
Wilde (12-3) has won three straight fights competing on the U.K. regional scene. He last fought at a Golden Ticket Fight Promotions show in April of last year, defeating Anthony Dizy by second-round TKO. He has also competed for the Cage Warriors and BAMMA promotions.
A venue for the Birmingham show is still to be announced.
