Ben Rothwell vs. Philipe Lins fight at UFC Vegas 21 postponed

UFC Vegas 21 has lost its lone heavyweight bout.

MMA Fighting confirmed with sources with knowledge of the situation that the Ben Rothwell vs. Philipe Lins fight has been removed from Saturday’s card, following an initial report by Fightful.

According to sources, an injury caused the fight to be delayed but the matchup is expected to be rescheduled for a later date.

Both fighters were looking to rebound from recent losses. Rothwell (38-13) saw a two-fight win streak snapped in October when he dropped a unanimous decision to Marcin Tybura. On the other side, 2018 PFL champion Lins (14-5) seeks his first UFC victory. The Brazilian joined the promotion last year and lost both of his 2020 fights against Tanner Boser and Andrei Arlovski.

UFC Vegas 21 proceeds with 12 scheduled bouts. See the updated lineup below (bout order to be determined):

Leon Edwards vs. Belal Muhammad

Misha Cirkunov vs. Ryan Spann

Dan Ige vs. Gavin Tucker

Angela Hill vs. Ashley Yoder

Manel Kape vs. Matheus Nicolau

Eryk Anders vs. Darren Stewart

Cortney Casey vs. JJ Aldrich

Rani Yahya vs. Ray Rodriguez

Charles Jourdain vs. Marcelo Rojo

Jonathan Martinez vs. Davey Grant

Jinh Yu Frey vs. Gloria de Paula

Matthew Semelsberger vs. Jason Witt
