Brazilian flyweights Rogerio Bontorin, Raulian Paiva set to meet at UFC Uruguay

A flyweight contest between Rogério Bontorin and Raulian Paiva is the first addition to UFC’s debut card in Montevideo, Uruguay, on Aug. 10, sources told MMA Fighting following a report by Combate.

Bontorin (15-1, 1 no-contest) made the most of his UFC debut in February, defeating Magomed Bibulatov via split decision. The Brazilian talent, who signed with the promotion after submitting Gustavo Gabriel on the Contender Series, is currently riding a three-fight winning streak.

Paiva (18-2), who also joined the company after winning his Contender Series bout last August, looks to get back on track after losing to Kai Kara-France at UFC 234. Paiva had a 12-fight winning streak snapped in his first Octagon appearance, which happened a few months after a tragic incident that killed his girlfriend in Brazil.

The UFC has yet to officially announce the Aug. 10 as its first event in Uruguay.
