MMA Fighting confirmed the initial report from ESPN.
The two pugilists initially went to battle on Bellator NYC in June 2017, where fans saw Primus claim Chandler’s 155-pound title with a first round TKO win. During the scrap, Chandler severely injured his ankle, forcing the referee to call a stop to the contest, much to the chagrin of the former champion.
The two were then slated to throw down at Bellator 197 in April before Primus was forced out with a leg injury. Chandler, instead finished his replacement, Brandon Girtz, in the first round of their main event matchup, retaining his place as number one contender in the process.
Also added to the card is a heavyweight scrap between former UFC champion Frank Mir and Javy Ayala. Mir will be looking to get back into the win column after coming up short against Fedor Emelianenko in June.
The entire event will be free to attend for members of the armed forces, alongside friends and family members, and will go down the day before Bellator 213, which features a women’s flyweight title fight between Ilima-Lei Macfarlane vs. Valérie Létourneau in the same venue.
