Bryce Mitchell returns against Matt Sayles at UFC on ESPN 7

Undefeated featherweight prospect Bryce Mitchell will take on Matt Sayles in a new matchup just added to UFC on ESPN 7 from Washington D.C. on Dec. 7.

UFC officials confirmed the fight on Wednesday following an initial report from the Washington Post.

A former “Ultimate Fighter” competitor, Mitchell joined the UFC after taking part in the reality series during season 27. While he came up short winning the tournament, Mitchell still got his chance in the UFC and he’s made the most of it.

The Arkansas native is currently 2-0 inside the Octagon with a win over Bobby Moffett in his most recent performance.

He will face Sayles, who comes into the fight with a 1-1 record in the UFC, after he earned his contract by way of Dana White’s Contender Series.

After falling in his UFC debut, Sayles got back on track with a submission victory against Kyle Nelson back in May to move his overall record to 8-2.

Mitchell vs. Sayles joins a growing card headed the nation’s capital where Alistair Overeem will face Walt Harris in a heavyweight main event.
