Tsarukyan defeated Georgio Poullas in a wrestling rematch in the main event at RAF 7 on Saturday. Covington defeated Dillon Danis on the co-main event of the same card. Covington had recently claimed that he schooled Tsarukyan in training when he was at American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida. However, Tsarukyan has since denied the allegations, claiming to have never trained with Covington at ATT. Tsarukyan and Covington could be on a collision course for a wrestling match at RAF, as they have both expressed interest in the idea.

Covington (17-5) has since accused Tsarukyan (23-3) of lying by denying that they trained together. But Covington plans to remind Tsarukyan of their grappling practice in a potential matchup at RAF.
“He’s lying about it because he was a young kid at that time… Now he is in his prime, he feels like he is unbeatable,” Covington told Submission Radio. “He feels like he is on top of the world. So, he’s just acting a little arrogant, he’s not being real and truthful. And the truth of the matter is that a 100% we grappled when I was at ATT. I know he remembers but he just doesn’t want to tell the fans. But it’s okay, I’ll give him another reminder on the RAF mats too.”
He Never Took Me Down
Tsarukyan joined ATT in 2019 and Covington left the team a year later due to multiple disputes with teammates. While Covington admits that Tsarukyan was a tough customer sometimes, “Chaos” claims he was on a different level.
“I remember he is a strong guy, he’s got some crazy hips,” Covington said. “And I remember he was very hard to take down at times, but I was levels above him. I took him down many times. He never took me down. He just couldn’t scramble with me.”
