Combate Americas is back this Friday, where it will head to southern Nevada for Combate 42.
In the main event, Gustavo Lopez (135) looks to defend his bantamweight title for the first time against Joey Ruquet (134.1). In Lopez’ last fight, he finished Jose Alday by first-round technical knockout to win the crown. The co-main event sees the vacant featherweight belt on the line as Andres Quintana (144.8) rematches with Bruno Cannetti (144.9), as Quintana finished Cannetti in the first round in December.
Combate Americas: Tahoe takes place on Friday, Aug. 23 at the Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harvey’s in Stateline, Nevada. The event also features a lightweight bout as Jose Luis Verdugo (155.3) takes on Erick Sanchez ()*. Also, middleweights collide as Cole Jordan (184.9) faces J.J. Torres (185.8).
