Combate Americas 43 Weigh-in Results: Three Fighters Miss Weight

Combate Americas returns this Friday, Sept. 20 in Mexicali, Mexico, for Combate Americas 43, and three fighters came in heavy.

In the main event, undefeated Rafa Garcia (154.9) prepares to take on Erick Gonzalez (153.7) at lightweight. The 25-year-old Garcia hails from Mexico, and is coming off of a submission win over Estevan Payan at Combate 39. His opponent Gonzalez recently knocked out Won Six Park at Combate 36. The co-headliner sees a strawweight bout between Yajaira Romo (114.3) and Yasmine Jauregui (113.6).

Combate Americas 43 takes place on Friday, Sept. 20, at the Auditorio del Estado in Mexicali, Mexico. The event also features a light heavyweight scrap between L.J. Torres (204.7) and Eliezer Ortega (210)*. At flyweight, Alberto Trujillo (125.5) collides with Edgar Chairez (125.9). Finally, at heavyweight, Oscar Cota (258.2) takes on Christopher Plasencia (260.9).
