Conor McGregor Reacts to Weather Fiasco at BKFC Budva

Conor McGregor was in attendance when a storm ended Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship’s foray in the Balkan Islands.

BKFC held an open-air event at the Top Hill nightclub in Budva, Montenegro, that was canceled midway through due to a storm. The scaffolding collapsed all around as people, including co-owner McGregor, rushed out of the venue.

“Budva brought the thunder, baby,” McGregor said in a since-deleted Instagram video. “That was the maddest thing ever. Oh my God. I’m sitting there, the thing starts rumbling and shaking and I wasn’t waiting. That is a fact… I know this ain’t safe. I am in this ring, Montenegro local, big KO finish. We’re in the ring about to celebrate and the storm just erupted out of nowhere. Mother nature…I got out of there, the heavens were roaring.”

The headliner and co-headliner of the night — Petar Razov vs Bojan Kosednar and Vaso Bakocevic vs Wilhelm Ott — had to be canceled due to the storm. Those bookings are expected to be shifted to a future card. While the fights at BKFC Budva were initially unavailable for viewers, they are now streaming on the promotion’s app.
