McGregor has been keeping fans updated in recent weeks, regularly posting training clips online. In a recent post, he was seen sporting an eye-catching pair of shorts that featured $100 U.S. bills. While custom shorts in the UFC have become more common lately, the Irishman’s green money-inspired kit has drawn the ire of fans.

Fans Roast Conor McGregor’s Green Shorts Ahead Of UFC Comeback
McGregor’s green shorts did not impress mixed martial arts fans. The former two-division champion took to Instagram to share a series of photos of his training sessions, and his post’s comments section was swarmed by users mocking him.
“Tacky,” one user wrote. “Trash,” another user remarked. Yet another user added, “It looks like he got those in a multi-pack of boxer shorts that were on a clearance sale.”
While a lot of comments poked fun at McGregor, some were complimentary, with one user writing, “The custom shorts are fire, bro,” while another chimed in, “Amazing Conor.”
While there’s no confirmation yet regarding whether “The Notorious” will actually don the polarizing shorts in his next bout, they are available for sale on Venum’s website.
McGregor, five years after losing to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264, returns against Max Holloway at UFC 329, a rematch of their 2013 bout, which the former won via decision. Holloway is coming off his BMF title loss to Charles Oliveira, so the victor at the upcoming numbered event will see a return to the win column either way.
