Cris Cyborg prepares for Ketlen Vieira fight with Holly Holm’s help
Cyborg considers her PFL Tampa opponent one of the “toughest tests” of her career and believes Holm’s elite experience will give her an advantage.
An elite middleweight clash headlines PFL Charlotte: Tune in on Friday, Aug. 7 at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN.
“Holly brings a unique perspective and elite-level experience that only someone who has shared the cage with top competition can provide,” Cyborg said in a press release. “Preparing alongside a fighter of Holly’s caliber gives me an added edge as I face one of the toughest tests of my career. This is a dangerous opponent and I am treating it with the seriousness it deserves.”
Cyborg hasn’t lost in nine straight outings since her defeat to Amanda Nunes in the UFC in 2018. This also marks the last fight on her current PFL contract. Meanwhile, Vieira went 10-5 in the UFC before being released from the promotion this past May, despite winning her last fight.
