UFC president Dana White couldn’t help but share a short look his promotion’s newest trinket.
Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz compete in a welterweight bout this weekend in the main event of UFC 244 at Madison Square Garden in New York with the specially-made “BMF” title on the line. The belt is expected to be unveiled at a press conference on Friday, but White shared a brief teaser video on social media that showed off a few aspects of the title:
In the clip, one can see that the belt is engraved with the date of the contest, the event number, a mark certifying that it is a one-of-a-kind trophy, and the word “baddest” in capital letters.
Though White has stated that the belt is a one-time title that will not be defended, it appears that a lot of work has gone into making it worth fighting for.
