Douglas Lima vs. Jason Jackson Set for Bellator London Co-Main Event

Former 170-pound champion Douglas
Lima
will lock horns with Jason
Jackson
in the
Bellator London
co-main event on May 13.

Promotion officials announced the matchup on Tuesday, as well as a
featured light heavyweight clash pitting Luke
Trainer
against Simon
Biyong
. Bellator London takes place at OVO Arena Wembley and is
headlined by a welterweight championship tilt between Yaroslav
Amosov
and Michael
Page
. The evening’s main card will be televised on Showtime in
the United States at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT.

Lima is in the middle of the first three-fight losing streak of his
professional career. The American Top Team Atlanta stalwart began
his skid with a five-round decision defeat to Gegard
Mousasi
in a middleweight title bout at Bellator 250. He then
relinquished the welterweight crown in a decision loss to Amosov at
Bellator 260 before dropping a split verdict to Page in the
Bellator 267 main event in his last outing this past October.

Jackson, meanwhile, could potentially seal his position as the
welterweight division’s No. 1 contender with a victory over Lima.
After falling to Ed Ruth in his
promotional debut, “The Ass Kicking Machine” has been victorious in
his last five Bellator appearances. Most recently, Jackson earned a
unanimous decision win over Paul Daley at
Bellator 260. The ex-Legacy Fighting Alliance title holder also
holds wins over the likes of Neiman
Gracie
, Benson
Henderson
and Jordan
Mein
.

England’s Trainer is undefeated in five professional appearances
thus far in his burgeoning career. In his last outing, “The Gent”
scored a second-round TKO win against Yannick
Bahati
at Bellator 267. He has finished all of his victories
inside the distance.

A native of Genoa, Italy, the 30-year-old Biyong had a four-fight
winning streak snapped in his promotional debut, as he fell to
Christian
Edwards
via unanimous decision at Bellator 261. Biyong is 7-2
during his pro tenure, with six wins coming via KO or TKO.
