Eliel dos Santos suffered a brutal loss in the cage and then had a run-in with the authorities.
At Shooto Brazil 127 on Friday night in Rio de Janeiro, the 40-fight veteran made the walk at the Upper Arena to face Cleverson Silva in a featherweight contest. He was knocked out in nasty fashion late in round one after being dropped with a left hand and then saved by the referee after a trio of punches on the ground.
He didn’t go home later that night as he was surprised by local cops and members of the Brazilian federal police as he was leaving the arena. G1 reported the MMA fighter failed to comply with legal measures from a domestic violence case in Amapa, including the removal of his electronic ankle monitor.
