Floyd Mayweather Posts Video of Himself Entering MMA Cage, Conor McGregor Responds

While the retired boxing champion recently dismissed the notion that he might be interested in fighting for the UFC, that didn’t prevent him from posting a video of himself entering the cage on Twitter Tuesday.

It didn’t take long for Conor McGregor to respond.

Mayweather defeated McGregor via 10th round technical knockout in a boxing match at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Aug. 26. UFC President Dana White claimed in December that the promotion was in talks with Mayweather about competing in the Octagon. While “Money” initially helped fuel those rumors, he ultimately denied that a transition to MMA was in the works.

“I’m not doing it,” Mayweather said. “I’m saying what I could do to make $1 billion quick if I wanted to do that. That’s all I was saying. I never said I was going to fight in the UFC. I didn’t say that. I said if I wanted to. Would and could do are different things. I’m not going to do it though.”
