Alibi punched his ticket his ticket to the flyweight finals in
emphatic fashion.
The undefeated Kazakhstan native dispatched Team Sonnen’s Roybert
Echeverria with a flying knee in the first round of their
flyweight semifinal matchup on Episode 9 of “The Ultimate Fighter
33.”

Alibi pressured his Venezuelan adversary from the outset of the
contest, swinging heavy punches in hopes of a finish. After
stuffing an Echeverria takedown, Alibi responded by grounding The
Goat Shed Academy representative.
Alibi found his opportunity when Echeverria attempted to stand near
the cage, as he leaped in with a perfectly-timed flying knee that
send his opponent right back down to the canvas. From there, Alibi
unloaded three right hands on his stunned foe before referee Jason
Herzog stepped in to save Echeverria.

Immediately following the stopppage, the Team Cormier member raced
over to address Dana White, who was seated in usual cageside
position.

Alibi will now await the winner of the other half of the flyweight
bracket, which pits Team Cormier’s Imanol
Rodriguez against Team Sonnen’s Joseph
Morales.
Espisode 10 will see a pair of Team Cormier members square off in
the first welterweight semifinal, as Jefferson
Creighton meets Rodrigo
Sezinando.
