Former PFL Champ Set for Octagon Debut at UFC Paris on Sept. 6

The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s heavyweight division will officially introduce one of its newest signees in Paris.

Former Professional Fighters League champion Ante Delija will make his promotional debut against Marcin Tybura at UFC Fight Night 258 on Sept. 6 at Accor Arena in France. Both fighters confirmed the heavyweight booking on social media following an initial report from Eurosport. UFC Paris is headlined by a middleweight clash pitting Nassourdine Imavov against Caio Borralho.

Delija and Tybura are familiar with one another: In September 2015, the Polish veteran defeated “Walking Trouble” via first-round TKO in a title tilt at M-1 Challenge 61 “Battle of Narts” in Nazran, Russia.

A protege of Mirko Filipovic, Delija captured the PFL heavyweight championship in 2022 and was a finalist the year prior. He’s fought just once per year since 2023, earning wins over Maurice Greene and Yorgan De Castro while falling to Valentin Moldavsky.

Tybura has emerged as a solid gatekeeper in the UFC, compiling a 10-3 record in the Octagon since 2020. The 39-year-old Pole has won three of his last four outings and is coming off a three-round verdict against Mick Parkin at UFC London on March 22.
