Gabriel Benitez will square off against Lerone Murphy in a featherweight contest at UFC London.
The Las Vegas-based promotion confirmed the booking on Monday. UFC London takes place at the O2 Arena on March 21 and is expected to be headlined by a welterweight showdown between Tyron Woodley and Leon Edwards. The card will air on ESPN+.
The 31-year-old Benitez competed just once in 2019, falling to Sodiq Yusuff via first-round technical knockout at UFC 241. “Moggly” is 5-3 during his promotional tenure and is 21-7 as a professional overall. Seventeen of his career triumphs have come inside the distance.
Murphy made his Octagon debut in September, when he battled Zubaira Tukhugov to a split draw at UFC 242. The Stockport, England, native began his pro career with eight consecutive triumphs on the regional circuit prior to his initial UFC foray.
