‘Gangster’ Paige VanZant explains taking Power Slap fight

Paige VanZant wants to be the iron woman of combat sports — and she hopes to compete in every kind of possible fight.

VanZant competes at this Friday’s Power Slap event in Las Vegas, making her debut in the newest promotion from UFC CEO Dana White. VanZant had a multi-year run with UFC before parting ways with the company to compete for BKFC, boxing, and even dabbling in the world of professional wrestling with AEW.

Prior to the bout, “12 Gauge” was featured at the UFC 303 media day to speak with reporters about her decision to compete in Power Slap, her preparation for her slap fighting debut, if she still plans to compete for BKFC in the future, her hopes to rematch Elle Brooke later this year for Misfits Boxing, if a UFC return could happen, and more.
