Grappling Standout Garry Tonon to Make MMA Debut at One Championship ‘Iron Will’

Garry Tonon will make his highly anticipated mixed martial arts debut at One Championship “Iron Will” on March 24.

The promotion recently announced that Tonon will square off against Richard Corminal in the lightweight co-headliner. One “Iron Will” takes place at Impact Arena in Bangkok and will see Bibiano Fernandes put his bantamweight title on the line against featherweight and lightweight king Martin Nguyen in the main event.

Tonon is a highly decorated grappler and owns notable victories over the likes of Shinya Aoki, Dillon Danis (twice), Beneil Dariush, Marcin Held, Gilbert Burns, Vinny Magalhaes and Ralek Gracie in that arena.

Corminal competed twice under the One Championship banner in 2017, falling to Arnaud Lepont via submission in November and losing to Shannon Wiratchai via knockout in March. He owns a 4-3 professional record overall.
