Gregory Rodrigues will square off against Jared Cannonier in the UFC Fight Night 251 main event on Feb. 15.
MMA Mania was first to report the middleweight booking. UFC Fight Night 251 takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and also includes a featherweight tilt pitting Edson Barboza against Steve Garcia.
Rodrigues has been victorious in five of his last six Octagon appearances dating back to June 2022. Most recently, “Robocop” defeated Christian Leroy Duncan via unanimous decision at UFC 304 on July 27. Rodrigues is 7-2 in UFC competition with five triumphs coming via KO or TKO.
A former middleweight title challenger, Cannonier is coming off back-to-back losses against Nassourdine Imavov and Caio Borralho in 2024. The 40-year-old known as “Killa Gorilla” owns notable triumphs over the likes of Sean Strickland, Marvin Vettori, Derek Brunson, Kelvin Gastelum, Jack Hermansson and Anderson Silva during his promotional tenure.
