In the bout prior, he fell to Fabricio Werdum via unanimous decision. Struve (28-10) lost to former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski by unanimous decision at UFC 222. Previously he was finished by Alexander Volkov via third-round TKO.
July 22’s card is headlined by the 205-pound clash between Volkan Oezdemir and former UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio Rua.
