Ilia Topuria couldn’t resist taking a shot at rival Paddy Pimblett after the conclusion of the UFC 324 headliner.
Justin Gaethje defeated Paddy Pimblett via unanimous decision in a five-round slugfest at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday to capture the interim lightweight belt and presumably set up a future meeting with Topuria.

In a message on social media, Topuria taunted Pimblett, who faced off with the undisputed lightweight champion in the Octagon following the Georgian-Spaniard’s title-clinching victory at UFC 317 this past June. While there was plenty of heat behind a potential Topuria-Pimblett booking, “El Matador” will instead look ahead ot a meeting with Gaethje. Topuria also congratulated the two-time interim champion before sending a warning in his post.

“Little sausage, the only thing you had to do was beat a 38 year old guy. You just lost the biggest paycheck of your life. You were going to get rich if you won,” Topuria wrote. “Justin, all I can say is congratulations… and I’d like to tell you to get ready, but you’re screwed no matter what.”

After a brief reign as featherweight champion, Topuria moved up to 155 pounds to capture the belt at lightweight with a first-round knockout of Charles Oliveira. He has been on a hiatus to deal with issues in his personal life but recently revealed that he hopes to return to action sometime between April and June.
