Israel Adesanya on Jon Jones domestic violence arrest: ‘I swear I said he would f*ck up again, he can’t help it’

Israel Adesanya isn’t keeping his opinions to himself in regards to his rival Jon Jones’ latest run-in with the law.

Jones was arrested early Friday morning — hours after the UFC Hall of Fame ceremony — in Las Vegas on multiple charges, which include battery domestic violence and injuring or tampering with a vehicle.

On Tuesday, details surrounding the former light heavyweight champion’s arrest were made public with the release of a police report that included disturbing details, including his fiancée Jessie Moses seen with blood on her face and clothes following a physical altercation that allegedly took place on Thursday night.

Adesanya took to Twitter on Tuesday night to give his thoughts on the allegations against Jones following the police report being made public.

“I’m sure y’all will give him ‘one more chance,’ lol,” Adesanya said. “I swear I said he’s gonna f*ck up again, he can’t help it. Now here we are. I’ve made mistakes in my time, I learn from them. I don’t think this is the first time this has happened in his house. But yea… [positive vibes guys].”

In addition, the middleweight champion attached a screenshot of an Instagram post from a fellow New Zealander Joey Crockett, who has a profile photo that includes Adesanya in it.

The rivalry between Jones and Adesanya was white hot for a time period while Jones was light heavyweight champion but began to fizzle following Jones vacating the title this past year in hopes to move up to the heavyweight division.

On Tuesday night, Jones broke his silence with an Instagram stories post, which didn’t directly discuss the charges against him, but that he will no longer consume alcohol and that he plans to “turn this nightmare into the best thing to ever happen in my life.”

Jones was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 26.
