This time, however, the competition won’t take place inside of a ring. Instead, Paul and Tyson are taking opposite sides in the upcoming trilogy bout between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.
“A lot of people are saying that Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor’s fight was better than ours,” Paul told Tyson in a video on Instagram. “They’re fighting again this weekend.”
When Tyson sided with Taylor, Paul offered the former heavyweight boxing champion a significant wager.

“All right, we’ll make a bet,” Paul said. “If Katie wins then you get a million dollars, if Amanda wins, I get a million. All right, let’s do it.”
Thus far, Taylor is 2-0 against Serrano, winning entertaining decisions on both occasions in closely-contested bouts. The second matchup occurred on the undercard of the massive Paul vs. Tyson event that was streamed on Netlix this past November. Paul defeated the 58-year-old Tyson via unanimous decision in a fight that was widely criticized but also drew a massive audience.
Taylor vs. Serrano 3 takes place on Friday at Madison Square Garden in New York, with the main card beginning on Netflix at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The event, which is promoted by Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions will feature an all-female lineup with multiple titles at stake.
