Jake Paul trolls Cody Garbrandt after UFC Vegas 27 loss, Garbrandt responds

Cody Garbrandt was already dealing with his loss to Rob Font before Jake Paul decided to throw some jabs in his direction.

Font earned a dominant unanimous decision over the former bantamweight champion in the headliner of Saturday’s UFC Vegas 27 event. Font earned his fourth consecutive win and moved a step closer to a title shot, while Garbrandt has now lost four out of five.

Following the 25-minute battle, Paul took to social media and gave his reaction to the fight, and Garbrandt being on the wrong end of it.

“What’s worse, Cody losing or him not being able to ride roller coasters due to height requirements,” Paul tweeted.

Paul has made his presence felt in the combat sports world in the last couple of years. The YouTube star turned professional boxer is now 3-0 in the squared circle, including a pair of highlight reel KO victories over former NBA guard Nate Robinson, and former Bellator and ONE world champion Ben Askren. Paul has continued to target MMA fighters since the win over Askren.

Garbrandt did respond to Paul’s cheap shot an hour later.

Heading into Saturday’s main event matchup, Garbrandt was coming off one of the best knockouts of 2020 when he landed a ferocious right hand at the end of the second round against Raphael Assuncao at UFC 250.
