Jessica Eye will square off against Viviane Araujo in a flyweight bout at UFC 245.
The Las Vegas-based promotion announced the pairing on Monday. UFC 245 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Dec. 14 and airs on pay-per-view. A headliner for the card has not been announced.
Eye challenged for the flyweight crown in her last appearance, as she was knocked out by a Valentina Shevchenko head kick at UFC 238 in June. Prior to that, the 33-year-old Cleveland native authored a three-fight winning streak at 125 pounds, besting Kallindra Faria, Jessica-Rose Clark and Katlyn Chookagian in succession.
Araujo enters the matchup on a five-bout winning streak that includes a pair of triumphs in the Octagon. After knocking out Talita Bernardo in the third round of her promotional debut at UFC 237, “Vivi” outpointed former bantamweight title challenger Alexis Davis in her most recent outing at UFC 240 to run her professional mark to 8-1.
