Jessica-Rose Clark vs. Pannie Kianzad 2 announced for UFC Moscow

Jessica-Rose Clark will meet a familiar foe when she returns to the bantamweight division.

Officials announced Thursday that Clark (9-5, 1 NC) and Pannie Kianzad (11-5) are set to fight in a rematch at UFC Moscow on Nov. 9. The two first fought back in July 2015 at Invicta FC 13, where Kianzad defeated Clark by unanimous decision.

It’s Clark who has fared better inside the Octagon, winning two of her three fights for the UFC, though her last year with the promotion has been a rocky one. After losing to Jessica Eye in June of last year, Clark was forced out of her next bout vs. Andrea Lee at UFC on Fox 31 when she had difficulty dropping down to 125 pounds.

She was then supposed to make her bantamweight debut against Talita Bernardo at UFC 237 this past May, only to withdraw due to an injury.

Kianzad has yet to pick up her first official UFC win after making it to the finals of The Ultimate Fighter 28 featherweight tournament. There, Kianzad lost to Macy Chiasson. She went on to pick up a win at a regional show in Sweden before getting a short-notice call to return to the UFC to fight Julia Avila at UFC 239. Avila defeated Kianzad by unanimous decision.

Prior to joining the UFC, Kianzad was a veteran for Invicta FC, fighting in high-profile bouts with the likes of Sarah Kaufman and Tonya Evinger.

UFC Moscow will be headlined by a heavyweight bout between former UFC champion Junior dos Santos and former Bellator champion Alexander Volkov. The main card will air on the ESPN+ streaming service.
