Son, a 25-year-old native of South Korea, has won his last four bouts under the Deep banner. Most recently, he earned a second-round technical knockout triumph against Toshiaki Kitada on April 28. Son owns a 9-2 professional record, with six of those triumphs coming inside the distance.
Yan, meanwhile, had an impressive Octagon debut, as he stopped Teruto Ishihara with punches 3:28 into the opening stanza of their encounter at UFC Fight Night 132 on June 23. The 25-year-old Russian is 9-1 with four wins by KO/TKO and one via submission.
