Nurmagomedov faced Mario Bautista at UFC 321 last weekend in Abu Dhabi. While Nurmagomedov was dropped in the second round, he rallied back to earn a hard-fought unanimous decision win. However, judging by Nurmagomedov’s performance, Pyfer and Brady don’t think he can beat Dvalishvili in a rematch. Pyfer noted that Nurmagomedov was visibly exhausted by the end of the third round.

Pyfer: Umar Looked Tired
“I don’t think Umar made a convincing case that he’s the only one… like, he looked pretty tired at the end of the third round,’ Pyer said on SteadyPicks. “Mario really made him work. I don’t know if he wins the rematch against Merab.”
Added Brady: “No, I don’t think so.”
Nurmagomedov suffered his first professional loss against Dvalishvili earlier this year, ending an 18-fight winning streak. Dvalishvili has since defended his title against Sean O’Malley and Cory Sandhagen. “The Machine” is looking to set a record by defending his title for the fourth time this year against Petr Yan at UFC 323 on Dec. 6 in Las Vegas.
Meanwhile, Brady’s only professional loss came against Belal Muhammad in 2022. Brady has since rebounded with three top-tier wins and will look to extend his streak against an undefeated Michael Morales at UFC 322 on Nov. 15 at Madison Square Garden in New York. Pyfer has finished five of his six UFC wins while only losing to Jack Hermansson. Pyfer is coming off a submission win over Abusupiyan Magomedov at UFC 320 earlier this month.
