With Joe Solecki out, top prospect Max Rohskopf is getting his chance to step into the octagon.
Solecki announced via Instagram that he is out of his lightweight bout with Austin Hubbard that was scheduled to take place at UFC on ESPN 11 this Saturday at UFC APEX in Las Vegas. MMA Fighting confirmed with sources that Rohskopf (5-0) has been selected as Solecki’s short-notice replacement to face Hubbard, following an initial report by MMA Junkie.

I am beyond disappointed to announce that, due to reasons beyond my control, I have been forced to withdraw from next week’s fight. I hopped in a fight camp at the end of March to be ready for a fight when it came up and was beyond prepared for the 20th. Unfortunately, it isn’t our plans that prevail sometimes. All I can do is recover, get back in the gym as soon as I am able to, and work harder to get back in the UFC octagon as soon as possible.
Solecki did not disclose the reason for his withdrawal.
Rohskopf, 25, has made a name for himself on the regional scene with his submission skills, including a 53-second submission of Paulo Silva in his most recent fight at a Titan FC show in February, and a dazzling first-round choke finish against Jonathon Morris in June of last year:
Hubbard (11-4), a former Legacy Fighting Alliance lightweight titleholder, makes his fourth UFC appearance. He is 1-2 in the promotion thus far, sandwiching a unanimous decision win over Kyle Prepolec with decision losses to Mark O. Madsen and Davi Ramos.
