Jorge Masvidal: ‘B*tch” Kevin Lee should be cut for UFC Brasilia actions

Kevin Lee’s post-tap takedown attempt of Charles Oliveira was an odd ending to UFC Brasilia. But Jorge Masvidal was downright angry about it.

The UFC welterweight star unloaded on Lee in the minutes after Oliveira’s third-round submission on Saturday, tweeting the one-time lightweight title challenger should be harshly punished for not conceding his loss.

Masvidal wasn’t done there. He also blasted Lee for missing weight for the ESPN+ bout.

Oliveira’s win was his seventh straight finish in the octagon. He called for a meeting with the winner of a lightweight title fight between champ Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson at UFC 249, which he plans to attend in person.

There was no crowd to celebrate Brazilian Oliveira’s at the closed-door event at Nilson Nelson Gymnasium in Brasilia; the UFC shut out fans upon the order of the state governor, who banned large gatherings in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lee, who came in 2.5 pounds heavy for the fight, arrived in Brasilia on the strength of a highlight-reel head kick knockout of Gregor Gillespie at UFC 244. The Oliveira loss was his third submission setback in the octagon after losses to ex-champ Rafael Dos Anjos and Ferguson in an interim title bout.

Masvidal, the one and only “BMF” champ in the UFC”s history, is expected to fight for the welterweight title this summer against champ Kamaru Usman.
