Chimaev recently targeted Sean Strickland on social media — but it wasn’t the former UFC middleweight champion. After years of complications, Chimaev finally appears to have been allowed into the United States. “Borz” posted a picture of the U.S. Customs at the Los Angeles International Airport on Monday.

Chimaev Arrives in the U.S.
Strickland has mocked Chimaev multiple times in the past over his issues entering the U.S. Strickland also stated that the Chechen-born-UAE fighter shouldn’t be allowed into America due to his close ties with the controversial leader of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. Responding to Strickland after entering the U.S., Chimaev posted a “flip the bird” emoji. But the undefeated middleweight tagged a user named @senistrikland instead of the real Strickland.
Chimaev honestly owned up to his mistake, admitting he isn’t very social media friendly.
“Sorry bro I don’t know how to use Twitter, wrong guy,” Chimaev wrote.

Strickland lost his middleweight title against Dricus Du Plessis last year, rebounded with a win over Paulo Costa and dropped a title rematch against “Stillknocks” this past February. Meanwhile, Chimaev, with six finishes in eight UFC outings, is set to challenge Du Plessis for the title at UFC 319 on Aug. 16 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
