Klidson Abreu vs. Gadzhimurad Antigulov set for UFC Kazahkstan

Klidson Abreu will face another Russian opponent inside the Octagon.

Abreu, who battled four athletes from Russia in his last five MMA bouts, is set to take on Gadzhimurad Antigulov at the upcoming UFC Fight Night card in Kazahkstan on June 23, multiple sources confirmed to MMA Fighting following a report by Globo.

Antigulov (20-6) hasn’t fought since April 2019, when he lost in 44 seconds to Michał Oleksiejczuk. The former ACB light heavyweight champion went 1-2 in his first appearances in the UFC with all fights ending in the opening stanza.

Abreu (15-4), nicknamed “Russian Terror,” lost a close split decision to Shamil Gamzatov last November. The former BRAVE CF titleholder has a decision win over Sam Alvey sandwiched between defeats to Gamzatov and Magomed Ankalaev as a UFC fighter.

UFC Kazahkstan will be headlined by a bantamweight showdown between former title challenger Marlon Moraes and rising 135-pounder Petr Yan.
