Leandro Higo now faces Dominic Mazzotta in featherweight bout at Bellator 241

Leandro Higo has a new opponent for Bellator 241 as Dominic Mazzotta has been tapped as a replacement after Johnny Campbell suffered an injury that forced him off the card.

The new fight between Higo and Mazzotta will take place at 145 pounds per Bellator officials, who confirmed the change to MMA Fighting on Thursday.

Mazzotta has gone 3-1 in his past four fights including a pair of wins under the Bellator banner including a first round stoppage against Matt Lozano and a decision victory against Josh Sampo.

He will now accept a short notice opportunity to face Higo, who is coming off a win over his own over Shawn Bunch in his last fight from this past September.

Higo vs. Mazzotta will take place at Bellator 241 on Friday, March 13 with two featherweight grand prix fights at the top of the card as reigning champion Patricio Pitbull takes on Pedro Carvalho and Daniel Weichel faces off with Emmanuel Sanchez.
