Leonard Garcia Eyes Future Showdown with Artem Lobov After BKFC 7 Headlining Duties

Leonard Garcia will take on Jim Alers in the main event of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship 7 on Saturday in Biloxi, Miss., on Saturday night.

The UFC veteran is excited to headline his second BKFC event.

“It is awesome. Coming over and being one of the guys who had a name in the UFC. To be anywhere else on the card, I’d feel like man, should I even be here,” Garcia said to Sherdog.com. “I’m excited to be the main event. The stakes are higher and I’m a performer.”

Garcia has fallen in love with Bare Knuckle and the style it brings.. Although he coming off of a knockout win, he isn’t sure if another finish comes against Alers.

“It all depends, we have to see how he takes my power and I take his. That is the name of the game. How are you going to accept to take that person’s punch,” he explained. “I have proven I can get knocked down and get back up and Jim hasn’t.”

Should he win, Garcia has his eyes set on fighting Artem Lobov. The two compete in the same weight class, and “Bad Boy” knows that it would be a massive fight for BKFC to put on.

“Absolutely I want to fight Artem,” Garcia said. “We are in sort of the same tournament where if I win this I think that fight happens. I’m going to win and fight Artem Lobov for the title next.”
