LFA returns from COVID-19 break with multiple events, title fights in July

Legacy Fighting Alliance is the latest fight promotion to return to business since the coronavirus pandemic forced the United States to stop in March, announcing a series of events for July in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

LFA will hold four events between July 10 and July 31 at the Sanford Pentagon, with championship bouts headlining every event. All four shows will air live on UFC Fight Pass.

LFA 84, scheduled for July 10, will feature Justin Gonzales vs. Jake Childers for the featherweight title in the main event. Sam Hughes vs. Vanessa Demopoulos headlines LFA 85 the week after, battling for the strawweight belt.

LFA 86 is scheduled for July 24 with Greg Fischer vs. Jimmy Flick for the 125-pound gold. The last event, booked for July 31, features Bryce Logan and Jacob Rosales in a lightweight championship contest.

According to company CEO Ed Soares, LFA’s “great working relationship” with the local athletic commission and arena “will allow us to set up a safe environment for our fighters and staff, while implementing strict coronavirus testing and safeguards to control and ensure a healthy LFA residency on our fight campus in Sioux Falls.”
