Lightweight Championship Clash Tops LFA 86 Card in South Dakota on April 17

Bryce Logan and Jacob Rosales will vie for the vacant lightweight belt in the Legacy Fighting Alliance 86 main event on April 17.

The promotion announced the bout on Tuesday. LFA 86 takes place at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D., and streams on UFC Fight Pass at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

“I am excited to bring the LFA lightweight championship back to South Dakota,” LFA CEO Ed Soares said. “Bryce Logan and Jacob Rosales are two of our most popular fighters as they both got their start in [Resurrection Fighting Alliance] before the merger…This will add another chapter to the state’s MMA history, which began with its first sanctioned event at RFA 17.”

Logan’s second professional bout came at the aforementioned RFA 17, where he fell to Te Edwards via technical knockout in 33 seconds. The Sioux Falls native enters the matchup on the strength of back-to-back triumphs over Kenneth Glenn and Jonas Flok under the LFA banner. The 31-year-old Power MMA Team representative owns an 11-4 professional mark overall.

The 24-year-old Rosales has won five of his last six professional outings. Most recently, “Lil’ Badger” rebounded from a loss on Dana White’s Contender Series to outpoint Salaiman Ahmadyarat LFA 81 on Jan. 31. The CSW product is 12-5 over the course of a career that began in 2015.
