Virna Jandiroba has a new opponent for UFC on ESPN 7.
With Cortney Casey forced out of the card due to undisclosed reasons, “Carcara” will now face fellow Brazilian strawweight Livinha Souza on Dec. 7 in Washington, DC, sources confirmed the news to MMA Fighting following a report by Graciemag.
Both fighters are former Invicta FC champions who lost their most recent bouts in the UFC Jandiroba (14-1) dropped a decision to Carla Esparza in April, losing for the first time as a professional MMA fighter, while Souza (13-2) attempts to rebound from a decision defeat to Brianna Van Buren in July.
UFC on ESPN 7 will take place at the Capital One Arena and feature Alistair Overeem vs. Walt Harris in a five-round heavyweight main event.
