Featherweights Mirsad Bektic and Eduardo Garagorri have agreed to meet inside the octagon at the upcoming UFC Fight Night event in Las Vegas, NV, on Sept. 26, multiple sources told MMA Fighting.
Bektic (13-3) will enter the cage looking to snap a two-fight losing skid, a split decision to Dan Ige and a first-round knockout to Josh Emmett. The Bosnian talent was 6-1 under the UFC banner prior to the recent setbacks, including a decision victory over Ricardo Lamas.
Garagorri (13-1) returns to action 10 months after suffering the first loss of his professional MMA career, tapping to a rear-naked choke against Ricardo Ramos in November. The first Uruguayan fighter to ever sign with the UFC is 1-1 under the company banner with a debut win over Humberto Bandenay in Montevideo.
Garagorri also announced on social media that he signed a new four-fight deal with the UFC.
The promotion has yet to announce which bout will headline the card at the UFC Apex. The lineup currently includes Ketlen Vieira vs. Marion Reneau, Claudia Gadelha vs. Yan Xiaonan, Randy Costa vs. Journey Newson, Jessica-Rose Clark vs. Sarah Alpar, and Kai Kara-France vs. Brandon Royval.
