Montana De La Rosa vs. Maryna Moroz booked for Sept. 5 UFC card

A new flyweight fight has been booked for the upcoming UFC card on Sept. 5 as Montana De La Rosa is expected to face Maryna Moroz.

Multiple sources confirmed the matchup to MMA Fighting on Monday with both athletes agreeing to the fight. De La Rosa initially announced the matchup over social media. As of now, there’s no location for the event, but it will likely take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

With a 4-1 resume in the UFC after competing on The Ultimate Fighter, De La Rosa looks to build off a win in her previous fight when she defeated Mara Romero Borella in February.

As for Moroz, she’s coming off two straight wins after moving to 125 pounds with victories over Sabina Mazo and a “Fight of the Night” performance against Mayra Bueno Silva.

As of right now, the only other confirmed fight for Sept. 5 is a bantamweight fight between former UFC champion Nicco Montano, who faces off with top prospect Julia Avila. More fights are expected to be added to the card in the coming weeks.
