Nassourdine Imavov is confident that he’ll get the next middleweight title shot.

Imavov faced Caio Borralho in a potential title eliminator in the main event at UFC Paris at the Accor Arena in France on Saturday. The home crowd favourite put on a technical striking masterclass to earn a unanimous decision win over Borralho.

Imavov is confident that he secured the next title shot with his win over Borralho. But another potential title eliminator between Anthony Hernandez and Reinier de Ridder is scheduled for UFC Vancouver on Oct. 18. However, Imavov is not bothered about the winner of that fight jumping ahead of him for a title shot. “The Sniper” argues that no one has done more than him in the last year to earn their shot. Imavov has racked up five straight wins against ranked opponents since February 2024, with finishes over Jared Cannonier and Israel Adesanya.

Imavov: No Middleweight Has Done What I Did This Past Year

“Who’s fighting in Vancouver? RDR [smirks]? I’m the next,” Imavov told Full Send MMA. “I’m not even worried about the next fight. I mean, you have to be realistic. No one did what I did for the sport in the last year. Five Top 10 guys, two finishes. I mean, no one did that.”

Middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev congratulated Imavov after his win over Borralho. Imavov refused to specifically call out “Borz,” instead targeting the belt rather than the person holding it. Meanwhile, Borralho suffered his first UFC loss in eight outings and his first overall since 2015.
