One Championship’s network television debut averaged 264,000 viewers on TNT on Saturday night, according to ratings figures released by ShowBuzz Daily.
The televised portion of One Championship “Century” Part 1 took place in Tokyo and featured former UFC champion Demetrious Johnson’s decision victory over Danny Kingad in the promotion’s flyweight grand prix. Two other bouts were televised in the 11 p.m. ET to 1:05 p.m. ET time slot, as Christian Lee defeated Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev to win the lightweight grand prix, while Angela Lee defended her atomweight crown with a fifth-round submission of Jingnan Xiong in what was the official main event of the broadcast.
The card was originally expected to include ex-UFC and Bellator lightweight champ Eddie Alvarez, but “The Underground King” withdrew from the lightweight grand prix final due to injury.
The preliminary portion of One Championship Century “Part 1” aired on the streaming service B/R Live, as did the entirety of One Championship “Century” Part 2.
