Contestants on an upcoming Asian season of “The Apprentice” will be rubbing shoulders with elite MMA fighters.
ONE Championship announced Thursday its first slate of special guest stars for “The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition,” including flyweight grand prix and former UFC champion Demetrious Johnson, current ONE titleholders Angela Lee, Brandon Vera, and Xiong Jing Nan, Sage Northcutt, and Indian wrestling standout Ritu Phogat.
The fighters will be involved in physical challenges that will take place on the special edition of the long-running reality show, but actually competing for a $250,000 grand prize are 16 aspiring entrepreneurs who will look to impress ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong. The winning contestant also receives a position with ONE Championship for a year.
More ONE stars and celebrities are expected to be announced for the program, with filming of a planned 13-episode season to take place from October to November.
