Raimond Magomedaliev entered the mix for a shot at the welterweight belt with a devastating knockout at ONE: Collision Course 2, a previously-recorded card that took place in Singapore and aired Friday.
Magomedaliev, who tapped Joey Pierotti inside one round in January, improved to 2-1 in the company with another quick stoppage, this time dropping Edson Marques with one punch. The Dagestani welterweight now holds a 7-1 record with six finishes, giving the Brazilian the first loss of his career.
The MMA portion of the show was headlined by former flyweight champion Kairat Akhmetov, who returned from a 21-month layoff to score his an unanimous decision over Dae Hwan Kim, improving to 3-0 since his last attempt to reclaim the ONE belt.
