Paige VanZant releases new training footage: ‘It’s not over’ | Video

Paige VanZant had her first high-profile mixed martial arts fight at Invicta FC 4 when she lost to Tecia Torres in January 2013 by unanimous decision. She was signed by the UFC in 2014 and earned Fight of the Night hours in her octagon debut.

She won her first three fights in the UFC before losing to current strawweight champion Rose Namajunas. She’d suffer three more losses in her next five fights. Following her loss to Amanda Ribas at UFC 251 in July 2020, UFC president Dana White said VanZant, “should definitely test free agency.”

VanZant ended up inking a lucrative deal with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, but has lost her first two fights in the promotion. VanZant posted a video of her training to her Instagram account showing her punching and kicking pads with the caption, “It’s not over.”

“12 Gauge” has been almost exclusively working on her boxing skills since signing with BKFC.
