PFL fills out Sioux Falls main card with two more ranked contests

The four new fighters booked on the Professional Fighters League’s jaunt to South Dakota may not be local, but they are highly ranked.

On May 2, the organization will take to a former Bellator MMA stomping ground of the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls. The man on the marquee representing the area will be Logan Storley in a welterweight pairing against Florim Zendeli. On Thursday, the promotion dropped two new bouts for this billing, with three of the participants among the PFL’s top 10 in their respective division.

The first of the two fights set for the PFL Sioux Falls main card is a heavyweight banger as Renan Ferreira (13-5, 3 NC) takes on Sergey Bilostenniy (14-4). It has been a rough couple years for “Problema,” as he claimed the PFL Super Fight heavyweight belt against Ryan Bader and everything looked up. When he was thrust into a matchup against Francis Ngannou, it all went wrong, as Ngannou punched him out in just over three minutes. The return effort in December—over a year after the Ngannou fight—was also unsuccessful, as Vadim Nemkov claimed the organization’s newly established heavyweight throne by manhandling the 6-foot-8 Brazilian and tapping him in four minutes.

While Bilostenniy has not lost as frequently as of late, his strength of schedule has not been entirely championship level—other than his fight with ex-Bellator beltholder Valentin Moldavsky, where he lost. He bookends that decision defeat with a speedy heel hook of PFL castout Tyrell Fortune in 2024 and a knockout of Karl Williams in August 2025.

The other scrap booked is one at bantamweight as Magomed Magomedov (21-5) comes to blows with Leandro Higo (23-7). Since establishing himself as one to watch in the Bellator ranks in 2021 with a submission of C.J. Hamilton, the Russian’s fortunes have wavered significantly. “Tiger” has alternated wins and losses since that Hamilton victory, a span of eight matches that includes two losses to Patrick Mix. Brazil’s Higo saw his PFL debut come to a frustrating conclusion when he lost a split verdict to eventual tourney champ Marcirley Alves.

PFL Sioux Falls partial lineup:
